iPad alternative doesn't exist - Competition Is Toast
This interesting chart from Business insider shows the shocking gap between iPad's and the Rivals. I call it Rivals instead of competition, since there clearly aren't any real competition to the iPad at this moment.
Although 2011 might be the year of the copycats, so far I've not seen anything that competes on any level.
One year ago when the iPad launched some colleagues started buying cheap knockoffs and famously one we nicknamed "i-Paid" since it only arrived 3 months after purchasing the cheap 2 hour max battery life device running Android.

iPad Competition Is ToastChangeWave Research just put out a new report on consumer interest in tablets, and surprise, surprise, the iPad is the number one by a mile.
82% of the 3,091 consumers ChangeWave polled say they want an iPad. The second most interesting competitor? OTHER. Not the Xoom, not the Galaxy Tab, not the Playbook, but something else. Yikes!
At the time ChangeWave did this survey, the Xoom wasn't out, but it had been announced. Maybe some marketing from Motorola will help?
